Welcome to all those interested in the law and the Catholic faith. Our society provides spiritual and intellectual fuel to inspire lawyers, judges, and public servants to follow Christ's path in the legal world.

The Thomas More Society of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston is open to Catholic lawyers, judges, law students, professors of law, public servants, and government officials active in the legal profession or public office, and all individuals who are interested in the relationship between the Catholic faith and the law.

The purpose of the Society is to encourage Catholic lawyers within the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston to live a Christian vocation by sanctifying their daily work. To that end, the Society assists in organizing the annual Red Mass, quarterly events, social hours, continuing legal education, and other activities.

Together, we ask God to bless, strengthen, and enlighten all servants of the law, and all people of faith, so that in solidarity and mutual trust we may achieve justice and freedom for our society.

“Personal prejudice and financial greed are the two great evils that threaten courts of law, and once they get the upper hand they immediately hamstring society, by destroying all justice.”

— St. Thomas More, Utopia
